Porcelain Veneers
At Center for Contemporary Dentistry we strive to achieve the best smile possible in the most conservative way. Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of tooth-colored ceramic that are custom made to be placed over existing tooth structure with minimal tooth removal. Our ceramic veneers are constructed of a variety of materials that include Impress e.max®, Zirconia and in some cases Lumineers®. The materials are chosen based on esthetics and durability of each patient’s habits and desires.
Veneers are designed to correct a number of problems including:
- Chipped and fractured teeth
- Stained and discolored teeth
- Worn teeth
- Uneven tooth alignment
- Spacing issues, such as gaps
- Cracks
Veneers are an excellent choice for these conditions because the porcelain is a great match for the natural appearance of the enamel. The translucency and color enhance the smile and combining the veneer with the tooth increases strength of the tooth.
During the initial visit, Dr. Dillon will discuss your desired ideal smile. Photos are taken of your existing teeth and evaluated to determine your goals for your new veneers and smile. At your subsequent appointment your teeth are prepared and temporary teeth are made in our lab to simulate the final result, or they are sculpted to match the permanent ones.
Adjustments can be made in the following weeks after a trial period. Once you have agreed to the shape and size of the temps, the veneers will be made according to the shape and size you approve.
With porcelain dental veneers, men and women alike can achieve a natural looking, beautiful smile that will last for years. Don’t be embarrassed about showing your teeth, change your smile and your life. Call us for a consult today.
